Deana & Bobby Dockery
President &Treasurer
Deana and Bobby founded Coastal Family Vacation Foundation in 2021 after seeing the toll that cancer takes on the entire family unit. Deana, a native South Carolinian, and Bobby, hailing from North Carolina, believe in the power of the ocean to bring peace and pleasure to the spirit. They spent their careers working around the globe in project management and project controls before electing to make their permanent home in Folly Beach. They are both active in the community and particularly enjoy fostering rescued English Bulldogs awaiting adoption.
Ashley & Rocky Melton
Secretary & Director
Rocky and Ashley Melton live in Sumter. They have two children who keep the family very involved in school and sports activities.
Rocky works at Dominion Energy.
Ashley works for Aflac and serves on the PTO for their children's school and on the Board of Directors for the Sumter Junior Welfare League.
They are all Clemson Tiger fans and love attending sporting events.
Hilary & Jay Hodge
Directors
Both natives of Sumter, Hilary and Jay have just welcomed their first child Ava in 2021. They enjoy spending time on our state’s beautiful lakes and rivers, and taking advantage of the great outdoors. Both Jay and Hilary have family members who have battled cancer, and this is one of the reasons they are excited to be a part of this charity. Hilary works in the accounting field and Jay is in the construction industry.
Jessica Smith
Director
Jessica, a Sumter native, is an Emergency Room nurse at MUSC Kershaw in Camden and is a 5 year survivor of Hodgkin Lymphoma. She is also the mother to Savanna and Brantley. Jessica cherishes time with her children and she enjoys photography, concerts and spending time outdoors.
Kaitlan Keller
Director
Kaitlan grew up in Manning and currently lives in Summerton. She and her husband Wes are busy raising their son Reed and twins Ellee and Luke. They enjoy hunting and spending time at the lake when not keeping up with school and church activities. Both Kaitlan and Wes have had family members affected by cancer which makes this foundation near to their hearts. Kaitlan currently works in the food industry.
Tim Goodwin
Director
Tim is a native of North Charleston. After a career in HSE, he and his wife Charlotte retired to Folly Beach in 1998. They have three children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Tim is an active member of many organizations and has served as Mayor of the City of Folly Beach since 2010.
Kristin Pollard
Director
Kristin grew up on the outskirts of Manning and hasn't moved too far from home. She lives at the lake in Wyboo, just a few miles on the opposite side of town. Along with her husband Austin & 1 year old son Hawkens, she enjoys hunting & spending time on the boat & golf course. She is a hairstylist in Manning. Kristin is excited to be a part of CFVF because she has clients and family members whose lives have been impacted by cancer.
